![]() Last week we decided to take a one-night trip to Amsterdam. L had been there twice before and was excited to introduce LJ and I to the city's bike culture. So, we boarded a VERY early morning OuiBus and spent a day and a half exploring the Netherlands' capital. SO. MUCH. FUN. Amsterdam, with its cannabis coffeeshops and Red-Light District, can bring to mind more adult fun, but there are plenty of G-rated and family-friendly activities. And they're easy on the budget. We loved the city and L and I both agreed we could live there. Bikes, cheese and black licorice! It's our kind of place! Even LJ cried when it was time to leave, moaning "I just like it hear so much!" We arrived around 9 a.m. and immediately took the Metro to get to the centre of the city. We were all starving so we kicked things off with Dutch pancakes at Pancakes Amsterdam. L and I shared the apple and cheese one and I think I could have eaten three on my own. So delicious! LJ opted for lemon and sugar and could hardly get it in her mouth fast enough. After brunch it was time to start exploring... Amsterdam with KidsHow to get to Amsterdam:
